Dr. Victor is a highly skilled and experienced geotechnical engineer with over 16 years of consulting experience across a diverse range of civil, infrastructure, and industrial projects in British Columbia. He brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to our team.
Specializing in geotechnical earthquake engineering, geo-structural analysis, and numerical modeling, Victor has developed a deep understanding of various geotechnical disciplines. His areas of expertise include 2D and 3D numerical modeling, static and seismic slope stability assessments, geotechnical risk assessments, as well as the design of retaining walls, excavation and shoring systems, and shallow and deep foundations.
Victor holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, a Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from McGill University in Canada. His robust academic background, paired with extensive practical experience, enables him to deliver innovative and effective solutions for complex geotechnical challenges.
As a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC), Victor upholds the highest professional standards. Additionally, as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) through the Project Management Institute (PMI), he excels in leading multidisciplinary projects from inception to successful completion.
Robert Nguyen is a highly skilled and experienced geotechnical engineer with over 22 years of expertise in civil, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects across Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. He holds a Master’s degree in Transportation Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Geotechnical Engineering.
His areas of specialization include geotechnical investigation, field testing, and technical management for various construction projects. Robert is proficient in using specialized software for slope stability analysis, retaining wall design, excavation support, shallow and deep foundation design, and geotechnical risk assessment.
Over the years, Robert has led and consulted on numerous high-profile projects, including renewable energy developments such as solar and offshore wind power. His extensive experience working with international partners in Asia has earned him recognition for his leadership, technical expertise, and commitment to delivering optimal solutions.
He is a member of the Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (EGBC) and an active participant in the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
Kimmie brings a distinctive blend of expertise in Civil Engineering and Information Technology to FECON. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is currently expanding her knowledge by pursuing a second bachelor’s degree in Information Technology at BCIT.
